Brigette Funk, LPC, LSATP
Director of Clinical Services
Brigette Funk, LPC, LSATP, serves as clinical director at Mount Regis Center in Salem, Virginia. She has an extensive background in behavioral health, and her goal is to combine her strong clinical background with her passion for helping others to ensure that those who are suffering from addictions have access to high-quality treatment when they need it.
Brigette earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology at Eastern Mennonite University. She went on to complete a Master of Arts in counselor education at Virginia Tech in 2011. She completed her residency and became a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in 2015 and a licensed substance abuse treatment practitioner (LSATP) in 2023.
Brigette began her career working in the community with children and adults who were suffering from severe emotional concerns. Once licensed, she became a clinical program manager, where she supervised multiple Medicaid-funded mental health programs. In 2017, she began working as a therapeutic day treatment clinical program coordinator in addition to providing outpatient counseling.
In 2019, Brigette took on the role of addiction counseling coordinator, providing treatment for adults and adolescents who were suffering from substance use disorders. In this role, Brigette assessed client needs, provided clinical recommendations for treatment, and created individualized treatment plans. Brigette also worked with a medical and clinical team providing medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for clients. She also became an acudetox specialist, which she utilized in groups with clients.
Brigette joined Mount Regis Center in May 2021 as a therapist for the facility’s Blacksburg intensive outpatient program (IOP). In August 2021, she was promoted to director of clinical services and now oversees the entire clinical program at Mount Regis Center.
Brigette is a member of the Virginia Counselor Association and a board member for the Roanoke Area Counselors Association. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, trying new foods, and being outdoors.
