Monique Pratt

Director of Nursing

Monique Pratt, a seasoned nurse with 31 years of experience across various healthcare sectors such as acute care, hospice, and addiction treatment, currently lives in Salem, VA. Losing her middle child to a drug overdose in 2013 steered her career toward addiction prevention and support. She now serves as the Director of Nursing at Mt. Regis, focusing on education and detox programs.

Monique is also the founder and CEO of “Saving Shell. A Parent’s Journey,” an organization dedicated to drug awareness, and has been a public speaker on the topic for 11 years. Her efforts extend to serving on the board of “Upholding Valor,” which supports veterans with drug awareness programs. Additionally, she worked with the Prevention Council’s Opioid Task Force to deliver presentations in local schools.

Outside of her professional life, Monique is an active member of Lakeside Baptist Church, enjoys hobbies like golfing, sewing, painting, and gardening, and treasures family life with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Her career and advocacy are driven by her early family experiences and her own profound personal tragedy, channeling her grief into a commitment to help others facing similar challenges.
